James River Falls Coffee Table

This table is carved and crafted from one slab of sugar maple and is inspired by a school of chinese landscape drawing where the artist goes to the site he wishes to reproduce and absorbes the image into memory just through being there. He then goes to the studio and proceeds to reproduce the image as his imagination dictates. This is exactly the proceedure used by the artist in this work. The waterfall is located deep in the woods of Antigonish Co., Nova Scotia, on the East coast of Canada
